Transparency matters to me. This page explains how affiliate links work on US Kitchen Nook (https://uskitchennook.com/) and how they support the content you read here.
The Short Version
US Kitchen Nook is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and other affiliate advertising programs. When you click certain links on this site and make a qualifying purchase, I may earn a commission. This comes at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is the same whether you use an affiliate link or not.
The Official Amazon Disclosure
As required by the Amazon Associates Program Operating Agreement:
As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
US Kitchen Nook is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
What This Means for You
Affiliate links are one of the ways I keep this site running. They help cover the costs of buying products to test, hosting the website, and producing new reviews. Without them, I couldn’t do this work independently.
Here is what does not change:
- My recommendations are based on real testing, research, and experience. I don’t recommend a product simply because it pays a commission.
- You never pay more because of an affiliate link. The commission is paid by the retailer out of its own margin.
- I only recommend products I believe are worth your time and money. If a product doesn’t meet that standard, I won’t link to it or recommend it.
How to Identify Affiliate Links
Affiliate links on this site may be marked with a disclosure statement near the link, at the top of a post, or in a site-wide footer. Some links may not be visibly marked, but any link that directs you to a retailer and results in a commission is an affiliate link.
Other Programs I Participate In
In addition to Amazon Associates, US Kitchen Nook may participate in other affiliate programs from time to time. These may include programs offered by retailers, brands, or affiliate networks. The same principles apply: I may earn a commission on qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you, and my editorial opinions remain my own.
FTC Disclosure
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires that I disclose any “material connection” between myself and the products or brands I recommend. An affiliate commission is a material connection. This page, along with clear disclosures near affiliate links, is intended to satisfy that requirement.
I believe in being upfront about how I make money. If you ever have questions about a specific link or recommendation, please ask.
No Extra Cost—Ever
To say it one more time, because it’s important: you never pay extra when you use an affiliate link on this site. The commission comes from the seller, not from you. Your support simply helps me keep testing and writing.

Quick Implementation Notes for James
- Placement: Put the Affiliate Disclaimer in your site footer on every page (or at minimum, link to it site-wide), and add a short inline disclosure near the top of any post containing affiliate links. The FTC requires disclosures to be “clear and conspicuous”—not buried in a separate page only.
- Amazon requirement: The phrase “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases” must appear on your site wherever Amazon links are used.
- AdSense requirement: Your Privacy Policy must disclose third-party cookies, ad networks, and data collection practices. The policy above covers these points, but keep it updated if you add new ad partners.
- CCPA/CPRA: The Privacy Policy includes California-specific rights (access, deletion, correction, opt-out, non-discrimination). Update the contact method if you add a dedicated privacy request form.
- GDPR: If you have EU/UK readers, the policy includes lawful bases, rights, and international transfer language. Consider adding a cookie consent banner if you serve personalized ads in the EEA.
